  Died at age 67 years, 9 months, 21 days. ----------------------------- William enlisted as a Private in Company C, 22nd South Carolina Infantry at Columbia, South Carolina on October 15, 1863. He was promoted to Corporal on June 20, 1864. He was admitted to Jackson Hospital, Richmond, Virginia on June 30, 1864 with a gunshot wound of the left leg.
