- I do not understand about this William Patten & Margaret Eberhart. If you look at Jacob Eberhart's will, you will see he named only two daughters, Catherine Eberhart who married Samuel Patten and Christinah Eberhart who married Jacaob McElreath.
If he had a daughter named Margaret who married William Patten, would she not have been named? If she was deceased, would her heirs not have been named?
Some researchers claim Samuel Patten & his brothers (William & James) were children of Robert Patten & Charity who died in Burke Co, NC. If anyone has documentation for this, I would surely love to see it.
