The information above for Susan Mayfield is at odds with what is in my dad's information. Therefore, until I can find a third source to verify which is correct I will keep her dates in suspense. Addtional notes from Dad's data: NANCY WOOD, age 78, widow of HENRY WOOD, married in Spartanburg District, South Carolina, in 1818 by Rev Obediah Boling and was before marriage NANCY (UNK) BURNS (her 2nd marriage). NANCY is applying for bounty land and giving Power of Attorney to A S Wallace of York District, South Carolina, to receive warrant. O P WOOD and J E ROBINSON of Spartanburg were witnesses to Power of Attorney. Spartanburg County, South Carolina, 19 November 1855 Foregoing was sworn to before ISHAM WOOD, Magistrate, who says he was present and saw NANCY married to HENRY WOOD and that there is record of births of their children which is appended and entered. Signed 19 November 1855 by ISHAM WOOD, Magistra *Dates on grave marker 1762-1841, from above information it is believed that NANCY was born about 1777 and was still living in 1855.
